Johnson’s 3 scores pace Wildcats in 43-0 win

LAPLACE – After a pair of winless seasons, St. James took another step toward accomplishing its goal of securing a playoff berth Friday night as it defeated host Sophie B. Wright, 43-0.

St. James running back Curtian Johnson scored three touchdowns, overall rushing 11 times for 39 yards.

Qui han tai Adams led SJH (3-5, 3-2)  in rushing with five carries for 93 yards. Lowell Narcisse completed 16 of 24 pass attempts for 157 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions.

The Wildcats outgained Wright  (4-4, 3-2) 358-130 on the night.

Aaron McKenney led SJH in receiving with 51 yards on three receptions. D’Kwan Sandolph hauled in five receptions for 37 yards.

Jai Lewis scored on an interception return for the Wildcats, while Sandolph added a score via the return game on an 81-yard kick return.
