Destrehan, Hahnville each roll

LAPLACE – Destrehan remained perfect in the 2013 season via a 49-24 victory over South Lafourche on Friday night.

The Wildcats’ Donovan Isom accounted for five touchdowns in the win. He passed for 222 yards and rushed for 82. Alfred Smith and Tramaine Armstrong each hauled in receiving touchdowns. Will Mathews added a rushing score as Destrehan moved to 8-0 overall, 5-0 in District 7-5A.

South Lafourche led 22-21 in the first half before the Wildcats turned it on. Isom rushed for a score with 33 seconds left in the first half, and Destrehan led for good.

 

HAHNVILLE 48, H.L. BOURGEOIS 6 – Hahnville made short work of the Braves, as Lynn Simmons led the Tiger charge with 137 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.

Hahnville (4-4, 2-2) rushed for 398 yards and five touchdowns in the game, just a week after totaling just eight against East St. John.

Logan Martindale tossed two scoring passes, one to Tyler Lamers and another to Brandon Singleton.

Bourgeois dropped to 0-8 overall, 0-5 in district play.
