Eve Maizie Rome Cambre, 80, passed away Oct. 12, 2013. She was a native of Vacherie and a resident of LaPlace.  
She is survived by her husband, Maurice Price Cambre; children: Terry Paul Cambre and wife Rita Webb Cambre, Curtis James Cambre and wife Wanda Cambre and Jeffrey Anthony Cambre; and a sister, Mary Agnes Rome Lafontaine. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Crystal, Robbie, Jammie, Terisha and Corey; her great-grandchildren: Angelica, Alexis, Anabelle, Draven, Katelynn, Emma and Brayden; and devoted friend Allen J. Marcel.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie Emelia Rome and Lucien Joseph Rome, a grandson, Troy, sisters Mary Alice Rome Hymel and Marie Enola Rome and a brother, Adam Rome.  
Visitation will be at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
