RPH Pink Lady Luncheon

LAPLACE – In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, River Parishes Hospital held its third annual Pink Lady Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 4, at Labelle Place Reception Center, 1905 W. Airline Highway, LaPlace.
The theme this year was “Boots and Boas,” and everyone received a pink boa to wear at the event. Vanessa Peters, chief nursing officer, who was the mistress of ceremonies, the guest speaker was Dr. Jennifer Malsbury, general surgeon, who gave a presentation on “Breast Cancer: Get the Facts.” Ava Schexnayder spoke as a cancer survivor.
A fashion show was sponsored by David Lee’s Boutique, Cato, Formal Connection and Choice Title. Also, the staff of River Parishes Hospital did the Pink Glove Dance.
