Newman races past St. James, 41-14.

LAPLACE – Newman has been unstoppable so far this year, and St. James couldn’t stop the trend Friday night.
Jabari Tyler accounted for four total touchdowns and 257 total yards to lead the Greenies past the Wildcats 41-14 in District 8-2A action.
Kendall Bussey rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns as well for the Greenies, who led 35-0 at halftime.
St. James earned touchdowns by quarterback Lowell Narcisse and tailback Cameron Grows on runs of 4 and 2 yards respectively. Both came in the fourth quarter.
Narcisse passed for 107 yards, all of those yards to wide receiver D’Kwan Sandolph.
St. James dropped to 1-5 overall this seasonand 1-2 in district play. Newman is now 6-0 overall, 3-0 in district.
