Special visitor at St. John Library

Tonia Askins, inter-national business con-sultant, entrepreneur, author and founder of Virtual International Business Solutions, will host an “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” workshop at the Central (LaPlace) Library on Thursday, Aug. 15, beginning at 7 p.m.  
Askins is a mentor for budding entrepreneurs on the rise.
She said “I fuel people to do three things: be creative, sow and grow. Be creative about how you go about achieving your goals, sow into purposeful projects that help others and grow by continually remaining a student of life.”
Author of the book, “You’ve Been Fired, Now What?” (along with Victor Kwegyir), Askins  will give tips to enable you to be creative to navigate through the transitioning process after being laid off and will share proven principles, strategies, systems and 40 potential businesses you can start.
The workshop will highlight insights, principles, and benefits of entrepreneurship. Whether you are considering venturing out part time or full time, by choice or via circumstances beyond your control, being equipped with practical knowledge and essential business guidance is vital for you to make a proper business decisions.
