Police seek robbery suspect

LAPLACE – Investigators at the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred last week.
In the early evening hours of Thursday, Aug. 8, deputies responded a report of armed robbery on the 200 block of East 14th Street in Reserve. The victim told deputies that he and two children had been sitting in his parked vehicle when he and the perpetrator engaged in a verbal exchange.
The perpetrator produced a handgun and told the victim to give him his money. When the victim told him that he did not have any money, the perpetrator entered the vehicle and took cash from one of the children. He then fled on foot from the area.
Detectives have identified the perpetrator as Therrill Dennis, 21, of East 10th Street in Reserve. Detectives have issued a warrant for his arrest.

Callers with information do not have to testify in court and will be issued a tip number to be identified for a potential reward.
