The LaPlace Elementary School Tigerettes Dance Team recently attended the 2013 UDA Summer Drill Team dance camp at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. After a four-day camp filled with learning new dance material and polishing their dance technique and skills, along with fun-filled team bonding experiences, the dancers were awarded with the following: Kiara Robinson received a “Pin It Forward” award from a UDA staff member recognizing her for positive attitude and willingness to learn; Ravyn Bazile, Kayla Caronna and Serenity LaGrange were awarded pins for the participation for the “St. Jude Give Back.”  The team received 36 Superior and four Excellent ribbons on Individual evaluations earning the team a Superior Trophy and eligibility to participate in the 2014 Capital One Bowl in Orlando, second place for their Home Routine and by recognition of the UDA Staff received the “110 percent Award.”
Also, the following members were selected as 2013 All American – Serenity LaGrange, Ravyn Bazile, Kearis Carter and Ashlyn Brown.
