Rita K. Bernard, 93, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013.

She was the beloved wife of the late Henry J. Bernard Sr. and loving mother of Gwen Dupuy (late, Paul), Henry Bernard Jr. (Pam) and Glenn Bernard (Charlene). She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mike, Lester and Leonard Knatzer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services were held at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home in Metairie on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Interment followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
