Four arrested in narcotics investigation

On Monday, April 15, 2013, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics detectives arrested four suspects on Monday while executing  a search warrant at an apartment on Cambridge Drive in LaPlace.

During the search of the residence, detectives seized approximately 113 grams of marijuana, 1.4 grams of crack cocaine and a loaded handgun.

Renata D. Stewart, 25, was arrested and booked with drug free zone violations, prohibited acts-tampering with CDS symbol, distribution/manufacture of schedule I CDS, possession of schedule II CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of a weapon with CDS and illegal use of CDS in the presence of a person under 17 years of age. Her bond is $101,500.

Derrick J. Holland, 33, 308 Linwood Drive, was arrested and booked with drug free zone violations, prohibited acts-tampering with CDS symbol, distribution/manufacture of schedule I CDS, possession of schedule II CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of a weapon with CDS, illegal use of CDS in the presence of a person under 17 years of age, andparole violation. His bond is $101,500.00 as well.

George Allen Jr., 18, of 712 Colony Drive, was arrested and booked with drug free zone violations, prohibited acts-tampering with CDS symbol, distribution/manufacture of schedule I CDS, possession of schedule II CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of a weapon with CDS, and illegal use of CDS in the presence of a person under 17 years of age. His bond is also $101,500.

Donivon Holland, 23, was arrested and booked with monetary instrument, drug free zone violations, prohibited acts-tampering with CDS symbol, distribution/manufacture of schedule I CDS, possession of schedule II CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of a weapon with CDS and illegal use of CDS in the presence of a person under 17 years of age. His bond is $109,000.

When detectives executed the warrant, the residence was occupied by four adults and two children, ages 3 years and 2 months. All four suspects remain in custody.
