St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Corey Rebaldo, 36, of Fairway Drive in LaPlace on two fugitive warrants, resisting an officer by flight and criminal trespassing.
Rebaldo fled from deputies in the 200 block of Belle Terre Boulevard in an attempt to evade arrest. During a foot pursuit, Rebaldo scaled fences, jumped ditches and ran between residences in the 700 block of Madewood Drive.
Rebaldo was wanted for warrants in St. James Parish and Jefferson Parish–the Jefferson Parish warrant was for contempt of court. Rebaldo failed to appear in court for a January 2012 incident in Jefferson Parish that his charges included theft of a police cruiser, resisting an officer, hit and run, reckless operation, attempted carjacking, assault, and disregarding a stop sign.
Information on the St. James Parish warrant was not available.
