Students of the Year winners recognized

The St. John the Baptist Parish public school district recognized its Students of the Year during the a School Board meeting.
Reserve Telecommuni-cations President William Ironside and Student of the Year Committee Chairwoman Heidi Trosclair presented the Students of the Year from each school, as well as the District Students of the Year, with their awards.
Asasha Terry of West St. John High and Darren Davis of East St. John High were recognized as Students of the Year at the 12th-grade level.
Kira Armant of West St. John High, Kiara Camacho of Lake Pontchartrain Elementary, Chelsea Eugene of LaPlace Elementary, Kirsten Cases of East St. John Elementary, James Perilloux of John L. Ory Communication Arts Magnet and Paige Edler of Emily C. Watkins Elementary were recognized as Students of the Year at the eighth-grade level.
Kendreon Lewis of East St. John Elementary, Kaitlyn Williams of Lake Pontchartrain Elementary, Ravyn Bazile of LaPlace Elementary, Elsy Pena-Jiminian of Emily C. Watkins Elementary, Angelica Carter of Garyville/Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet, Jenna Beber of John L. Ory Communication Arts Magnet and Kyra Thomas of Fifth Ward Elementary were recognized as Students of the Year at the fifth-grade level.
Darren Davis, James Perilloux and Jenna Beber were also recognized as the district Student of the Year winners at their grade levels.
St. John’s Student of the Year competition is sponsored by RTC.
