Satellite Center S.T.A.R. team member and Hahnville High School senior Bodie Dufrene was named the STAR Student of the Year for the 2012-13 school year. A panel of St. Charles Parish Public Schools administration based their selection on his resume of teaching experience, his interviewing skills and his enthusiasm for education. Bodie plans to attend Southeastern University and pursue a secondary education degree. Angela Lange, Dufrene’s STAR facilitator, said, “It is wonderful to see the passion and enthusiasm in such a talented young man. Bodie is going to be a powerful role model to his future students.”
