LAPLACE – The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for information of the whereabouts of a missing 17-year-old male.
Deputies initially responded to the report of a missing person in the 200 block of Little Hope Street in Garyville on Tuesday, March 26. The missing person was identified as Mikivon Anderson of Garyville. Anderson’s sister said that she last saw him late in the afternoon March 24. She told investigators Anderson had been away from home before but for never more than a day at a time.
Anderson is a black male, medium complexion, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall. He has scars above and below his left eye.
Investigators suspect that Anderson may be a victim of foul play. According to Sheriff Mike Tregre, detectives have pursued many tips in search for Anderson to no avail. Louisiana State Police conducted an aerial search of the wooded areas near Garyville and Mount Airy on Tuesday.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Anderson should call St. John Parish detectives at 985-359-TIPS or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111
