Endangered children subject of a Florida Amber Alert

LAPLACE – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued an Amber Alert for two young children after their non-custodial biological parents allegedly abducted them from their custodial grandmother in Tampa, Fla., around 6:30 a.m. Thursday. Louisiana State Police have issued a Level II – Endangered/Missing Advisory as the biological parents and children may be traveling to or through Louisiana.
Law enforcement is currently looking for Joshua Michael Hakken and Sharyn Patricia Hakken who may be driving a black 2006 GMC pickup truck bearing Florida tag No. U95KT, which is a University of South Florida tag. Their parental rights were recently terminated, and they have ties in the Slidell area.
Joshua Michael Hakken, 35, is a Caucasian male about 5-feet-11-inches in height, and heavy set, about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes.
Sharyn Patricia Hakken, 34, is a Caucasian female, 5-feet-4-inches in height and heavy set, around 150 pounds. She has short, curly brown hair and blue-green eyes.
The abducted children are Chase Hakken, a 2-year-old Caucasian male, 3 feet in height and about 33 pounds. Chase has brown hair and eyes; and
Cole Hakken, a 4-year-old Caucasian male, 3-feet-9-inches in height and about 44 pounds. Cole also has brown hair and eyes.
The suspects may be armed and should be considered dangerous. Citizens should not attempt to approach these individuals and instead contact 911 or local law enforcement immediately.
