Catholic Schools’ Week was celebrated a number of ways at St. Joan of Arc School. Students dressed in blue and white on Monday and participated in Breakfast with Moms on Tuesday and Breakfast with Dads on Thursday.
Wednesday was “Surprise Day.” Upon arriving at school the students discovered teachers and staff dressed alike, some in silly costumes, some dressed like them. Surprises continued when lucky students were awarded special treats or an off-campus lunch with Principal Larry Bourgeois if they had a sticker on the bottom of their lunch plates. The ending celebration of Catholic Schools’ Week began with a special mass honoring Students of the Year, Distinguished Service Award recipient and Distinguished Graduate Award recipient. At recess, the administrators gave all the students popsicles.
