George W. Yeager, 84, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013.
He was the beloved husband of Lydia Blankenship Yeager, father of Cynthia Y. Berger (Alfred) and Lori Y. White (Darel), grandfather of Ryan and Jordyn Berger, son of the late Bernie and Grace Yeager, brother of the late Paul and Glenn Yeager, brother-in-law of Pierce Blankenship (Sue), Sarah Myrtle, Liza Fraley, Esther Justice and Shirley Blankenship and uncle of Glen Yeager (Anita) and Aaron Yeager (Teri). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
He was a teacher and school administrator for 30 years, achieving the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge Award, a realtor and a member of the Scottish Rite Freemasonry.
He was a native of West Virginia and a resident of LaPlace for 20 years.
Visitation and services were held at Lutheran Church of the Galilean in LaPlace on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Burial followed in Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans. Arrangements by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace.
