In honor of Arbor Day, the fourth grade students at St. Joan of Arc School planted Loblolly pine trees as part of the Fourth Grade Foresters of Louisiana program, which began in 2007. Since 1886, Louisiana has been celebrating Arbor Day on the third Friday in January. The students will nurture the trees until they are ready to be planted on the school grounds.
