St. Rose Elementary recently held its DARE Graduation. Fifth-grade students participated in weekly DARE lessons about decision making, tobacco, marijuana, alcohol, advertisements, inhalants, over-the-counter drugs, bullying and response styles. As a culminating activity, students were required to write a DARE essay summarizing what they learned from the program, what it means to them, and how it will affect their lives.
