Rita M. “Aunt Rita” Hotard, 93, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Etienne and Regina Simon Hotard and sister of Marie Hotard Sutton. She was preceded in death by Henry, Albert, Etienne and Sidney Hotard, Amanda Audiffred and Lucille Williamson.

She is also survived by 30 nieces and nephews and many great- and great-great- and great-great-great-nieces and nephews. Devoted employee of Hotel Dieu Hospital for 43 yrs.

She was a native of Taft and resident of Reserve.

Relatives and friends and members of the St. Peter Ladies Altar Society and 50 Plus are invited to attend services. Visitation will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
