Looking for letters to Santa
Published 12:00 am Saturday, December 8, 2012
L’Observateur is asking children in the River Parishes to send their letters to Santa Claus to us, and we will forward them to the North Pole.
In the meantime, L’Observateur will publish the letters in a special keepsake edition Wednesday, Dec. 19.
Letters in the child’s handwriting are encouraged but should be legible. Parents, you can help young children by writing the letter and letting them draw a picture on the page. Pictures are also welcome and may be published as well.
Letters should be written on a piece of white paper in black pen or dark pencil. Drawings can be in crayon or marker and should be on the same piece of paper as the letter.
Each child is encouraged to sign the letters, but parents, please write the child’s full name, age and hometown on the back side of the paper, near the bottom.
Letters must be delivered to our office by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, for inclusion in the special section.
Electronic submissions emailed to lobnews@bellsouth.com are preferred, but hard copies may be mailed to Letters to Santa, c/o L’Observateur, 116 Newspaper Drive, LaPlace, LA 70068, or dropped off at our office located off Main Street behind Destiny Christian Center.
Call L’Observateur at 985-652-9545 for more information.
