LAPLACE – St. Charles Catholic High School recently held its annual College Fair for juniors and seniors at the school in LaPlace. Juniors and seniors attended this fact filled event during their lunch period and became acquainted with what each college had to offer. Representatives from more than 27 colleges from both Louisiana and out of state came to St. Charles Catholic High School in order to give the juniors and seniors a chance to ask questions and to inform them about the various college choices available in order to further their high school education. Some of the colleges that attended included Louisiana State University, University of Alabama, Loyola University New Orleans, Springhill College, Louisiana Tech University and Xavier University. The seniors and juniors were also informed about scholarships, activities and other resources available at each of the colleges.

Each college had the opportunity to promote their school and tell the students about what’s hot on their campus before the actual fair began.

Besides learning about what’s hot at each university, the students were offered deadline dates for admissions, scholarships and preview days from the universities and colleges.

Students also had the opportunity to learn more about the TOPS Scholarship Program as a representative from the Louisiana Office of Financial Assistance was in attendance.
