Lutcher — St. James Parish Hospital announced its second Employee of the Quarter, Shannon Jackson. Jackson was nominated by fellow employees and chosen by the Executive Leadership Team for her outstanding work ethic.

Jackson has worked at St. James Parish Hospital for seven years as an emergency room clerk. Shannon graduated from St. James High School in 1987. Following graduation, she attended Thibodaux Area Technical Institute, where she received her certification as a certified nurse assistant and a word processor operator.

Cindy Madere from the Business Office nominated Shannon and states, “Shannon demonstrates the tenacity that is necessary to be an ER clerk. She has the ability to read and handle different personalities and situations, then respond accordingly. I believe she has the skills necessary to pick up on any task or request given to her quickly and efficiently. I would like to recognize Shannon for her excellent job performance. Her dedication and attitude are invaluable to St. James Parish Hospital.”

“My family, especially my son, along with experiences in my life have given me the knowledge and talent to be equipped to handle and maintain my job here at St. James Parish Hospital. I believe in excellence and that is what I try to deliver and encourage at work because that’s what we deliver as a team. I believe not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced. It has truly been a pleasure working at St. James Parish Hospital. I look forward to many more years,” said Jackson.
