LAPLACE – The St. John the Baptist Parish community is invited to the third annual Speak to the Winds Prophetic Conference at Choice International Family Outreach Worship Center in LaPlace.

Prophet Antoine Jasmine, pastoral overseer for Choice, said the event, dubbed “Gathering of Eagles,” regularly brings together pastors and prophets from across the state and across the region. The event begins today and runs through Saturday.

“This is an opportunity for the faith-based community, our parish’s political leaders and all residents to come together as one community as we continue to rebuild following Hurricane Isaac,” Jasmine said. “We are hoping for four days of life-changing experiences.”

Jasmine said the conference features morning classes at 10 a.m. and evening sessions beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, events begin at 8 a.m.

All activities will be held at the Choice Worship Center, 516 E. Airline Highway, LaPlace, where, Jasmine said, his congregation opened one of the first distribution centers for food, ice and other supplies after the storm.
