Dr. Hal A. LeBlanc, 69, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at his home in Norco. He was the owner of Hal A. LeBlanc DDS Family Dentistry for 45 years with 30 years in Destrehan, a member of the American Dental Association, New Orleans Dental Association, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, LaBranch Duck Club, Bonnet Carre Rod and Gun club and veteran of the Vietnam War and stationed on Okinawa and a member of the Girl Scouts of America.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Ann Whittaker LeBlanc, daughters, Elizabeth Freitas (Michael), Rebecca Guerra (Chad), Halie LeBlanc (Wayne) and Melissa LeBlanc, son, Hal “Beau” LeBlanc Jr. (Megan) and 12 grandchildren: Kirsten, Lorrie, Madalyn, Breland, Micah, Carter, Jackson, Landon, Christopher, Taylor, Wesley and Everly and two step-grandchildren, Mason and Shayna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hypolite “Hyp” Adolph LeBlanc Jr. and Hazel Marie Falgout LeBlanc.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. at the church with Fr. Terry Becnel serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in his honor to LSU Cancer Research, P.O. Box 33932, Shreveport, LA 71130-3932 or Masses may be given.
