Rebels have strong showing at LHS tourney

LUTCHER – Riverside continued its roll over the weekend, winning five out of six matches at the Lutcher volleyball tournament. 

The Rebels bested South Terrebonne (25-20, 20-25, 15-9); East St. John (25-9, 25-18); Berwick (25-20, 25-21); Dutchtown (25-18, 25-17); and Denham Springs (25-21, 22-25 and 15-9). 

The Rebels fell to Destrehan, 25-19 and 25-15. 

Against East St. John, Kendra Turner led the Rebels with eight kills and two blocks. Jordan Duhon had three aces. 

Turner had 17 kills and five blocks in the win over Berwick. Danielle Sharp added five kills. 

Turner had 17 kills and three blocks against Denham Springs. Toni Hebert had 14 assists, two kills and nine digs. Katie Bailey had 10 digs. 

Hebert had six kills and 10 assists against Dutchtown. Turner had 11 kills and a block. Turner had nine kills and a block against South Terrebonne while Hebert had four kills and 10 assists. 

Against Destrehan, Turner had eight kills and a block. Hebert had three kills and 10 assists.
