Josie Hughes Wascom, 82 and a resident of LaPlace, died at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Seale Funeral Home in Livingston from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday at 9 a.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gateway Gardens Memorial Park.

She is survived by her son, Kelvin Dale Wascom of Houston, and her two sisters, Maydee Rushing and Sarah Ann Ballard, both of Satsuma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Edward Wascom.
