Motiva Convent refinery scholarship winners

Three children of employees of the Motiva Convent Refinery were among 13 students chosen nationwide to receive a Motiva Enterprises College Scholarship for 2012. Receiving the scholarship were Lexie Breaux (daughter of Alvin Breaux); Asenath Francis, (daughter of Ron Francis) and Sarah Lambert (daughter of Anthony Schexnayder).
The award of amount of each scholarship is $2,500 per academic year for up to four years, or until bachelor’s degree requirements are completed, whichever occurs first. Motiva Convent General Manager David Brignac hosted the three students and their parents at a dinner in their honor at Ruffino’s in Baton Rouge earlier this summer.
The Motiva Enterprises Scholarship Program is a competitive program awarding scholarships to children of its employees for undergrad-uate study at an accredited college or university in a program of study leading to a baccalaureate degree. All pha-ses of the competition, including the selection of winners, are handled by Scholars and Recognition Programs, a unit of Educational Testing Service.
