Shirley Keating Madere, 86, passed away Saturday Aug. 18, 2012.

She was the beloved wife of the late Paul “Polo” Madere, mother of Dennis Madere (Cookie), Paula Willis (Richard), Glenn Madere (Linda) and Brenda Cannon (David), grandmother of Scott and Chad Madere, Jennifer Millet, Brad Madere and Misty Wilson, great-grandmother of Zachary, Elliot, Abigale, Mason and Avery Madere, Lauren and Hailey Millet and Kaysi Kayle Wilson, daughter of the late McDuffy and Lea Gendron Keating and sister of the late William Keating, Gladys Boudreaux, Carmen Madere, Eddie and Elvans Keating, Ida Madere and Winnie Weber.

She was a native and resident of LaPlace.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services. Visitation will be at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve. Arrangements are by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home of LaPlace.
