Aaren Faulkner and Taylor Campbell were named recipients of the Hahnville High School Class of 1957 50th anniversary Endowed Scholarships to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette at Hahnville High School’s award ceremony.

These $2,500 scholarships are awarded to students who will enter the freshman class at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The two annual recipients will apply the awards to their freshman year at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. One $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a student entering the field of education, to insure the development of teachers who will continue to promote the importance of instruction. Another $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a student entering the engineering field, to provide a basis for continual technical contributions from Hahnville High School graduates.

These endowed scholarships are in recognition of the excellent preparation that Hahnville High School teachers, coaches and principals provided for the class of 1957, and in recognition of the 1957 classmates who shared in that educational experience. These scholarships are awarded on an annual basis.

Faulkner was a member of the HHS Band for four years, a member of the Beta Club for three years and the National Honor Society during her senior year. She was enrolled in a college preparatory curriculum in which she earned Magna Cum Laude.
