St. John the Baptist Parish officials recently joined owners Aqunett and George Giles of Heaven’s Touch Pottery Home Décor and Accessories for the grand opening of their new indoor and outdoor shop at 1131 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace. Heaven’s Touch offers a variety of items including large and small pots, fire pits, vases, iron wall décor, chimineas, fountains and much more to enhance indoor and outdoor living spaces. Prices for the merchandise range from as low as $10 to as much as $300. “We have a large selection of pottery with a wide range of prices such as small pots and large fountains,” said Aqunett Giles. She and her husband were previous owners of pottery shops in Kenner and Gramercy but recently moved their business to LaPlace. Small gifts are available inside the shop, along with pottery stands and other pottery paraphernalia. Heaven’s Touch Pottery Home Décor and Accessories is open Monday from noon to 6 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
