Chester Joseph Bourgeois, 85, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bernice Poche Bourgeois, and his children and their spouses:  Brenda and Gilroy Huguet, Donald and Juanita Bourgeois, Cheryl and Philip Creel, Jane and Barry Pertuis, Randy and Carrie Lynn Bourgeois, Kerry and Kathy Bourgeois and Christine and Myron Becnel. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Didier J. Bourgeois and Emilie Miller Bourgeois, and a grandchild, Ross Becnel.  

He was a retiree of Colonial Sugars Refinery after many years of service.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, from noon until 3:45 p.m. at Rose

Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina at 4 p.m. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
