LaPlace – Students at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School last week dedicated a day to prayer as the school marked the holy season of Lent.

Students attended the Way of the Cross, prayed the Rosary outdoors and heard a presentation from Fr. Ron Hoye, a Vincentian missionary priest who spent the week at St. Joan of Arc Church.

Additionally, each student took home a small rock to symbolize

the burden of sin that he or she hopes to cast off in preparation for Easter.
