St. Joan of Arc Catholic School has recognized nine students as its “Citizen of the Month” for January. The program rewards students who go out of their way to help others, behave courteously or show exemplary manners. Teachers and other staff members nominate SJA students for the honor, and the winners receive a special pizza-and-soda luncheon on campus. The winners in January are (front row, left to right) fourth-grader Juilie Barrios, third-grader Ashleigh Zaidan, second-grader Jeanne St. Martin, first-grader Mya Brown and kindergartener Brady St. Pierre; and (back row, left to right) eighth-grader Delilah Davis, seventh-grader Wesley Melancon, sixth-grader Kennedy Greene and fifth-grader Hailey Louque, along with Principal Larry Bourgeois.
