Eliott Manuel Gervais entered into eternal rest Jan. 31, 2012, at the age of 55. Also known as “Big E,” he was a lifetime resident of New Orleans until 2005 and since Hurricane Katrina been residing in Houston, Texas.

He is survived by his loving parents, Earl and Joyce Gervais, beloved wife Coleen Walters Gervais, children Amanda, Andrew, Ashley and James Walters Gervais, grandchildren Renee, Mary and Madeline Gervais, sister Paget Gervais and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was the grandson of the late Charles Gervais Sr. and Margaret Gervais and the late Allen Blanchard and Una Blanchard.

Family and friends are invited to attend services. Visitation will be at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace, on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a religious service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Foundation are preferred.
