St. Peter Chanel’s fourth- and fifth-graders journeyed back to another time. The adventurous group traveled to the Louisiana Renaissance Festival in Hammond. The students were entertained with sights and sounds of the historical period. There were encounters with magicians, jesters, ogres and the much anticipated Pickle Man who sang as he sold pickles. Entertainment was provided by a comedy duo with dogs, a glass blower and jousting. The students also viewed a wide variety of birds of prey.
