Earier this month, the family of Commissioner Gregory Gravois, who passed away in September 2011, was presented a plaque in recognition of his 11 years of dedication and service to the Port of South Louisiana as a member of its Board of Commissioners. As the governor’s appointee to represent St. James Parish, Gravois served as president, executive vice president and treasurer during his tenure.

“Greg will be sorely missed by all here at the Port of South Louisiana,” said Joel Chaisson, Port of South Louisiana’s executive director. “His legacy, however, will live on, and we hope it will be an inspiration to those that succeed him.”
