Emily Cambre Becnel, 68, passed away suddenly Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011.

She was the beloved wife of Herbert James Becnel Sr., mother and mother-in-law of Roxanne Duhe’ and spouse, Harris, of Garyville; Ranell Wempren and spouse, Randy; Herbert Jr. and spouse, Michelle; and Rhea Martin and spouse, Marty, all of Ponchatoula.

She was a native of Garyville and an associate of Walmart in LaPlace for 23 years.

She is survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Melba Cambre, and grandson, Brandon Paul Hoover. She was the sister of Faye Duhe’ of Garyville, Eva Becnel of Reserve and Judy Pruitt of Hughes Springs, Texas.

Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Garyville. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve. Rose Lynn Funeral Services was in charge of the arrangements. To sign and view the family guestbook, please visit www.roselynnfuneralhome.com.
