The sixth annual St. Hubert’s Fleur De Lis Pageants will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Parish Hall in Garyville. The pageant committee is currently seeking contestants in all divisions.

The divisions for the children’s pageant are Baby Miss: 6 weeks – 12 months; Toddler Miss: 13 months – 23 months; Tiny Miss 2 – 3 years; Petite Miss: 4 – 5 years; Little Miss: 6 – 8 years; Deb Miss: 9 – 11 Years; and Junior Miss: 12 – 14 years. The entry fee is $50 if registered by Oct. 24. Registration at the door will be accepted but a $10 late fee will be charged. Contestants from 6 weeks to 3 years of age must be at the St. Hubert’s Parish Hall by 9:30 a.m. with competition beginning at 10 a.m. The contestants from 4 years to 14 years must be at the hall for 11 a.m. Awards will be given for Prettiest Eyes, Hair, Smile and Fashion as well as Overall and Supreme Awards. Queens in each division will receive an embroid-ered banner, pin and Rhinestone crown.

Contestants are also needed for the Teen, Miss and Ms. divisions. Contestants in these divisions must attend a mandatory meeting today. This is also the deadline for turning in entry forms for the pageant. The Miss Fleur De Lis will reign over the annual festival to be held in on the church grounds in Garyville. She’ll also represent the St. Hubert’s Festival at the Louisiana Association of Festivals Queen of Queens Pageant held in Baton Rouge in February 2012 as well as pageants and festivals throughout the state of Louisiana.

The Pageant begins at 5 p.m. at the St. Hubert’s Parish Hall. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children.
