LAPLACE – The Senior Friends Members at River Parishes Hospital recently attended a Tailgate Party Meet and Greet luncheon in the River Parishes Hospital Medical Pavilion. Each member was asked to wear his/her favorite sports team shirt or jersey and was invited to bring a guest to learn about the benefits available to them by becoming a member of the Senior Friends Program.

Monique Thomas, a representative with the Louisiana Senior Medicare Patrol, spoke to the group about the steps they can take to avoid being the victim of insurance fraud. A brief question and answer period followed the presentation. Afterwards, several drawings were held for door prizes.
