Family literacy nights help children of all ages participate in reading related activities. ESJE’s theme of Louisiana was introduced by reading “Petite Rouge; A Cajun Red Riding Hood.” Retired Assistant Superintendent Wilbert Ocmond narrated the story as it was projected to the audience on the wall screen. Ocmond truly brought the story to life using his Cajun dilect and animated voice.
