Durel Clement LeBlanc, 83, entered into eternal rest Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at 2:16 p.m. He was a native of Remy and a resident of Destrehan for the past 56 years.

He was the beloved husband of Marie Carbo LeBlanc, loving father of Christine L. Lambert (late-Paul), Beverly L. Cazenave (Ira), Dalton J. LeBlanc (Bridget), Becky L. Raiford (Jeff), Hilary L. Plauche (Steve) and Maisy L. Robicheaux (Kenny), son of the late Leopold LeBlanc Sr. and Hilda Roussel LeBlanc and brother of Leroy and Neal LeBlanc and the late Pearl Becnel, Maisy Veron and Leola, Louis, Norman, Leopold Jr., Mervin and Ronald LeBlanc. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation and services were held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, Fr. Daniel Brouillette serving as celebrant. Interment followed in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
