Benjamin H. Kerns, 73, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011.

He was the beloved husband of Lizzie Wempren, son of the late Benjamin and Rose Kerns and brother of Gerald Kerns and Lorraine Bonar.

He was a native of California and a resident of Reserve for the past 22 years.

Visitation and services were held at First Baptist Church in LaPlace on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve. Arrangements were by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home of LaPlace.
