Helen Poche Poprik, 84, entered into eternal rest Friday, Sept. 9, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of New Sarpy.

She was the beloved wife of the late George Howard Poprik, loving mother of Vicki G. Catalano, Darlene G. Desselle and adored son-in-law Barney Desselle, grandmother of Frank Catalano (Jennifer), Lori Falgoust (Lonnie), Dana Trosclair (Ivy) and Brett Catalano, great-grandmother of Cole, Jimmy, Michael, Ansley, Delaney and Lily, daughter of the late Paul J. Poche Sr. and Isabelle Simon Poche and sister of Paul Poche Jr., James Poche and the late Rosemary Hinkle and Gloria Catalano.

Visitation and services were held Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Interment followed in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
