Concrete evidence that St. James Hospital cares

Lutcher — St. James Parish Hospital is a community hospital that truly values the opinions of

its patients and employees. Most recently, the hospital followed through on suggestions that benches be added to the front entrance of the hospital.

“A few employees and patients mentioned that it would be nice to have an area for people to sit while waiting for a ride, visiting family members or enjoying a break outdoors. This suggestion was taken to a Leadership Meeting and without hesitation, hospital administrators began discussing logistics and acquiring quotes to see if this addition would be both beneficial and affordable,” said Director of Marketing Kassie St. Pierre.

The hospital chose to order four custom, concrete benches, which are positioned at the entrance of the hospital for visitors, patients and employees to enjoy.

“Concern for our patient and visitor opinions has always been a high priority at St. James Parish Hospital.  That’s why, for years, we have asked you to share your thoughts and feelings about your health care experience through our patient satisfaction surveys. We continuously review these surveys to find ways we can improve our services to you. Purchasing benches for the entrance of the hospital is one example of how we were able to take this feedback and create a more comfortable environment for our patients and visitors. Thank you for your valuable input!” said Mary Ellen Pratt, CEO.
