LaPlace — Choice International Family Worship Christian Center invites the community to Back-2-School Bash 2K11 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 12.

Highlights of the event include entertainment by Christian artists from Baton Rouge – rapper Love n Pain, singer and rapper duo Kyi Smith and Gee Price and DJ Eazy.

Natasha Woodley, event coordinator, said she expects a great turnout from the community.

“We want to prepare and motivate our students as they return to school. We wanted to do something special by offering them some nice, clean fun to close out their summer,” Woodley said.

Antoine Jasmine, pastor of the LaPlace church, agreed.

“We want our young people to have a true sense of community. When young people know their community supports and stands behind them, they will rarely let their community down,” said Jasmine.

Admission is $10. All participants will receive door prizes and giveaways. Choice International is located at 516 E. Airline Highway in LaPlace.
