Doug Robicheaux, a resident of Destrehan, was recently named the winner of the German Coast Farmers’ Market Home Vegetable Garden Contest. Entries were grown and harvested in a home garden and samples of the produce were judged on overall quality, appearance and freshness.

Robicheaux was presented with a gift certificate to Bon Ton Roula Wine and Gift Headquarters in Destrehan. The contest was coordinated by Rene Schmit, LSU AgCenter county

agent.
