Cecile Deroche, 83, passed away at her home in Gramercy. She was a native of Garyville and lived in Gramercy for 52 years.

She is survived by her sons, Russel J. Deroche Jr. and Nathan J. Deroche, daughter, Linda Deroche St. Pierre, husband, Gene, sister, Nellwyn King Torres, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russel J. Deroche Sr., parents, Lee King and Lillian Garcia, brother, Carl J. King, and sister, Nona Lee Tamplain.

Visitation and services were held Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Gramercy, with Fr. Vincent Dufresne serving as officiant. Entombment followed in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher.
