In the comfort of his home with family surrounding him, Alfred “2-5” Bossier, 83, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 9:21 p.m.

He was the beloved husband of 44 years of Dolores Joseph, devoted father of Alfred “Peter” Bossier II, Raquel (Landry) Cage and Charo (Gala) Holden, grandfather of Cameron, Christian, Kyla and Kaci Cage and Gala Holden II and brother-in-law of Douglas Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelard Bossier and Marie Jacob Bossier, his siblings, John, Edward and James Bossier and Mildred Weber, his nephews, Louis, William and Dean Bossier, his great-nephew, Mark Burrell, and his great-niece, Monita Bossier.

He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and godchildren.

He was a native and resident of Edgard.

Relatives and friends of the family, the Knights of Peter Claver Court No. 66, employees of Hospice Compassus, the St. John Council on Aging, Ochsner Health Systems, Applied Materials and Quality Nuclear Services are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2361 Highway 18 in Edgard. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with recitation of the rosary at 9:30 a.m. The celebrant will be Fr. Joel Cantones.
