Destrehan High School, along with Ochsner Blood Bank is sponsoring a replacement blood drive for Devrin Charles. He recently had undergone kidney transplant surgery. Charles is the son of Christa August and grandson of Larry and Lillian August of Hahnville.

The blood drive will be held at Winn Dixie, 12519 Airline Highway, Destrehan on Sunday, May 22, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. All donors will receive a blood bank T-shirt, mini physical, cholesterol test and a blood type test.

Everyone is encouraged to eat a healthy meal before donating and bring a picture ID.
